About
Welcome to Kissed by Bo — where couture meets consciousness, and fashion becomes a form of self-care.
What started as the vision of designer Braisha Owens-Mount has grown alongside her journey as a wife, a mother, and a voice for something bigger than fashion. Today, Kissed by Bo is more than a couture house; it’s a platform for community, creativity, and candid conversation.
Through the Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = God Podcast, Bo hosts honest, unfiltered discussions on style, wellness, motherhood, faith, and the art of becoming.
With Corporate Couture, we tackle the challenges women face in the workplace through our Fashion Wellness Initiative, guiding them to discover and express their unique style personality in a professional setting.
We embody holistic fashion wellness, creating more than garments — we craft wearable art with purpose. As a Black-owned couture fashion house, we merge innovative design, hand-painted artistry, and wellness principles to redefine style. From haute couture to accessible luxury, our creations empower individuality, confidence, and self-expression — whether on the red carpet or in everyday life.
Our mission is to be the epicenter of fashion wellness, where style and self-care intersect. Beyond trends, we prioritize well-being in every piece, inspiring a lifestyle where fashion transforms both wardrobe and spirit.
Through Haus of Bo and our social enterprise, The Paper Bag Chronicles, everything we do supports initiatives that champion mental health, body positivity, and holistic wellness within the fashion community and beyond.
Kissed by Bo is more than a brand — it’s a movement of empowerment, artistry, faith, and intentional style, designed to make a meaningful difference.

BIO
Braisha Owens-Mount isn’t just designing clothes—she’s redefining what fashion means. Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, she is the creative force behind Kissed by BO, a Black-owned luxury denim label celebrated for transforming recycled materials into sculptural couture. Her bold, architectural designs have lit up red carpets, including the iHeartRadio Music Awards, and have been worn by stars like Jordin Sparks, Carrie Bernans (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), fitness influencer Sommer Ray, and tastemakers like @darianrojasc, @savannah.cristina, @joyajackson, and DJs @honeyluv and @nostalgixmusic.
Her journey began long before her brand. Growing up, she attended art-focused schools, filled sketchbooks with couture sketches, and staged makeshift runway shows for her family—early proof of a designer in the making. By age 13, armed with her first sewing machine, she was altering clothes and creating custom looks for school productions. Her biggest inspiration was her mother—known as “the Fashion Commissioner”—who instilled the philosophy that life itself is a runway.
Braisha’s brand vision first took shape in college. In the summer of 2013, she wrote her first business plan—a bold move toward creative independence. At the time, she focused mainly on styling and hadn’t fully stepped into her power as a designer. While her creative voice was still quiet, she built an impressive portfolio, styling looks and experimenting with pieces for small fashion shows. After graduation, she leaned fully into design, using her background in styling to shape her approach. Her designs reflect a deep understanding of how clothing fits a woman’s body, how it can highlight her favorite features, conceal others, and ultimately make her feel both empowered and at ease.
Fashion isn’t her only passion. Braisha also explored media and entertainment, co-hosting on Columbus radio stations Joy 107.1’s Allen Stowe Show, where she discussed style and wellness—exploring how what we wear impacts how we feel. This love for conversation led her to launch her first podcast, Can You Rock A Paper bag, in 2019, which eventually evolved into her current show, Ask Me: Wife, Mom, Designer = God. The podcast’s first season was a success, featuring candid conversations with wives, mothers and creatives guided by faith.
Braisha also earned IMDb credits as Head of Wardrobe for feature-length productions—a stepping stone that opened doors for her fashion career. Since then, her work has been seen in music videos, on red carpets, and in five independently produced fashion shows. She also founded The Paper Bag Chronicles, a platform dedicated to fashion wellness, self-love, and celebrating individuality.
Today, Braisha Owens-Mount continues to merge artistry with purpose—creating collections, cultural projects, eBooks, workshops, and episodes of her podcast. Through it all, she champions the idea that fashion isn’t just something we wear—it’s a statement, a language, and a reflection of who we are before we even say a word.
